Claire and Firestarter"s Room

After seeing her sister off to her room, Claire soon found her own room. She was exhausted and so she threw her bags on the floor in a neat pile. Unlike her sister, Claire was easy going and she planned to rest now and unpack later. She dropped herself onto the bed and made herself comfortable. She fell asleep.

Firestarter walked in carefully. She saw that someone was sleeping, and she grinned. TIme to burn something! She touched the end of the bed carefully. It slowly emerged from just a spark to something much greater... A small fire. It slowly burned the bed until it was compleatly next to Claire. The heat intensified, and Firestarter slowly grinned once again.

Claire had not been deep asleep yet, so her eyes flew open at the feel of intense eat and the smell of something burning.FIRE! Oh no! She saw someone grinning at the flames. That must be Firestarter. Her name suits her oh so well!. She muttered something carefully under her breath and raised her arms toward Firestarter. Slowly, colorful threads connected her fingers to Firestarter's joints, and turned invisible. Puppeteer prep complete.But she seems powerful, so I'd better sing softly to nullify her power a little. Fingers and hands outstretched, she stood up slowly. She was in a horribly dangerous, vulnerable position now, it was good that she was singing. She wiggled her right index finger rapidly, controlling Firestarter's right leg in a small stamping motion.

Firestarter slightly growled. She was running through her mind the different possibilities. She muttered a series of words, trying to tell the fire to attack the girl before her. Firestarter grinned slightly as the fire slowly crept up behind Claire. But by the time the fire got to her, it would have burnt out. Firestarter tried to summon another fire, and got a flame the size of a small appple to appear on Claire's clothes, hoping that would break the spell that she was entrapped in.

Claire took no notice of the flame on her shoulder, she had decided it was better to keep her cool and not show her rising panic. She had to let it burn, it was better than losing focus and having Firestarter attack her.Urgh! This girl sure is tough! I may bend the rules every once in a while, but this girl is a total delinquent! I can't believe I have to share rooms with her! Doesn't this school do anything 'bout this stuff? She kicked her power up to her trademark shadow play. Up until then, she had been using the technique both she and her sister had been to learn, Lynna had decided to keep on with that, but Claire had started shadows instead. She replaced her strings with a powerful shadow, and fell backwards slightly to make firestarter fall backward. Claire winced as the fire burned her, but she was protected by her nylon vest, which didn't burn through. She lifted her hand to brush the flame away, and made Firestarter stand up again. She started to sing and imitate the sounds of a drum set to give a headache to Firestarter. She sang a nonsense sound. Thank God, my ipod is on. She ripped the earphones out and it played loud rock musioc. She controled Firestarter in a twirly motion.

"Aha!" Firestarted growled as she was being controlled. She tried putting all of her power into her mind, which she used to whisper like a concence. "Let firestarter go... SHe is way too powerful for you to attempt to fight..." Then she transferred all power to her eyes. She used a laser from out of her eyes to burn at Claires' feet.

Claire stomped at it rapidly. Heat was traveling fast, should she yell for help? Urgh! Such a frustrating opponent! It might seem wimpy, but I will call for help... "Help! Fire! Fire!" She let out a dozen high pitched notes and broke control of firestarter. She made a flying kick, for firestarter's head.

Firestarter dodged it quickly, breaking the laser. When firestarter heard claire call out, she instantly quieted her by transferring her energy into the air, making it so nothing could be heard beyond those walls.
