Re: Business in the Village
The monkey slapped Nuka's face. Idiot! Chocolate is a solid. We are looking for a liquid... something that is made with entirely opposite ingrediants.
Re: Business in the Village
Jonathan slapped his own face. Okay, if solid is CHOCOLATE need liquid cave man. Give chocolate in liquid form no work, have andother type completely it might kill me. The monkey talked to Nuka as if he was stupid.
Re: Business in the Village
Got it? Any liquid with out the elements that make up the mixture. I think it would do just fine.
Re: Business in the Village
Easy: Carbon, Holmium,Cobalt, Lanthanum, and tellurium. Jonathan replied.
Re: Business in the Village
"so we find what dont use those elements that is a liquid," nuka sighed his headack growing
Re: Business in the Village
"Yes." Oliver replied blankly. Took him long enough to figure out. Oliver whispered into Jonathan's mind, and they both started laughing.
Re: Business in the Village
"Uh oh. No bad jojo. No biting Nuka." Oliver said, after Nuka said Bite me. Jojo was reaching down for a bite, but was haulted by Oliver.
Re: Business in the Village
colloidal suspensions! HOW COME I NEVER THOUGHT OF IT BEFORE! Jojo commented, slapping his head.
Re: Business in the Village
"Jello is something that we call a colloidal suspension. The gelatin in Jello is made of long solid chains of protein molecules. When you mix the gelatin with hot water, these protein molecules break apart and become suspended in the water. However, the individual molecules remain solid. So this is not a solution. As the mixture cools, the protein molecules come back together to form long chains again. However, these chains go in random directions and form a lattice that traps the water molecule within its structure. So, what we have is a mixture of solid and liquid. When it's hot, then it is a solid suspended in a liquid. When it's cold, it's a liquid suspended in a solid. Thus it is classified as a colloidal suspension rather than as being either solid or liquid." Oliver said, yawning, as if this was basic stuff to him.
Re: Business in the Village
Both the other men laughed. "Basic stuff boy that you should have already learned."
Re: Business in the Village
Nice. And Oliver, you are wrong. Jello is an amorphous solid
ITS basically a solid suspended in a liquid. The scientific word for this is a COLLOID. If you heat it up enough, the solid will become dissolved again it will become a liquid all through. But if you cool it down enough, the liquid water will freeze and it will become a solid all through. The monkey grinned and Oliver pondered what had just been said.
